TRANSPORTATION AND DIRECTIONS TO PASADENA FROM LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Rental Car:

Taxi Cabs:
Can be arranged at the airport and will cost about $50 for the cab to depending on time of day and will directly to the hotel. Very good choice if you are in a group. Claim your luggage and go directly out of the terminal where cabs are waiting.
Shuttle Vans:
These are shared ride vans that will pull past the terminal at LAX and pick up at designated stops for Shared Ride Van Service.
Claim your luggage then step out to the Orange Shared Ride Van sign at the outer island and contact the Blue Uniformed Guest Service Representative for immediate departure.

It costs $17/person from the airport to the Pasadena Hilton. While cheaper than a cab it generally takes longer because it takes a round about route to deliver passengers to other locations. This is the probably the most cost effective and convenient way to get to Pasadena particularly if you have bags.
Bus/Rail:
This is the cheapest way and may cost you less than $5 from the airport to the Hotel but it may take a long time and it is not recommended late at night or early morning.
Take a Flyaway Bus to Los Angeles' Union Station. Claim your luggage then step out to the outer island under the green signs marked "FlyAway, Buses and Long-Distance Vans."

The bus operates every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour in each direction between 5 a.m. and 1 a.m., and hourly between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. Service is seven days a week, including holidays. The one way fare to Union station is $3.
At Union station go to the Gold Line light rail to Pasadena. The boarding fare is $1.25.
Get off at Del Mar Ave which is about 0.5 miles from the hotel and call the Hilton Hotel and the bellman will come over and pick you up.
GOLD LINE
The 13.7-mile light rail line transports passengers from Pasadena to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles and points in between. There are six stations throughout Pasadena. The closest to Old Town is located at Memorial Park on Holly Ave and Arroyo Blvd.
